Title: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from

8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.

The primary work location(s) will be at Twin Tower Building, 1106 Clayton Lane, Austin, Texas 78723

Terms: 9-month contract / 12/1/20 – 8/31/21

Positions/ interview: 1 role – 1 sub slot

Job Duties: The Java Developer is an Information Technology (IT) position and will provide development and technical analyst services for the mandated enhancements of the Childcare Licensing Automation Support System (CLASS) resulting from the 86th Texas Legislative session.

This position will provide technical analyst of the requirement, define the design approach, develop code, unit test the code and provide support during test cycle and post-production support.

  1. enhancements to the system will be coordinated to coincide with implementation of CCL “Rule” changes. The project is expected to produce several CLASS deployments throughout fiscal year 2021.

Degree/Certs: Java Certification (preferred)

Experience working on projects utilizing agile project management methodologies


2- Preferred- Experience with Easy Rules, slf4j and logback for Java.
