Sr. Graphics Artist

  • The candidate will be required to create and edit high-level computer graphic presentations, posters, brochures, exhibit materials and other printed work as needed. The candidate will prepare material layouts with formatting for training materials, team templates, logos, awards, MS Project schedules, spreadsheets, forms and reports.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of Small, Medium, Large Caliber and Special Ammunition and Weapons Systems Ammunition as well as the platform associated with ammunition to create appropriate material layouts and to confirm the accuracy of the artwork created by the graphics specialist. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of graphics projects from conceptualization and development to final presentation.
  • The candidate must perform video editing to modify videos into multiple formats and sizes, deleting clips, adding clips, inserting transitions, inserting text, speeding up timing/slowing down timing for specific needs that may be required (presentations; pentagon meetings; etc). The candidate must be able to utilize Adobe Premiere CC, Adobe Media Encoder CC and the Digital Juice Editors Toolkit.
  • Project schedules are to be created and edited using Microsoft Project. Extensive knowledge of MS Project schedule is required. The candidate will be required to create, prepare and modify Microsoft Project Schedules with data and guidance provided from item managers.
  • The candidate will work closely with the product offices within OPM-MAS and will need extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point with the ability to handle a very heavy workload with tight deadlines. The candidate will be required to create pivot tables, formulas, add conditional formatting, create graphs and reformat worksheets as directed by the business office and other OPM- MAS Teams.
  • Specifically, the candidate is required to utilize the following software: Adobe Acrobat Professional DC, Adobe Bridge CC, Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe InDesign CC, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Premiere CC, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Filters, Digital Juice Editors Toolkit, Glowforge Laser Engraver User Interface, HP Large Format Scanner and HP Large Format Plotter software, InfoPath, Microsoft Access 2013, Microsoft Excel 2013, Microsoft PhotoDraw, Microsoft PowerPoint 2013, Microsoft Project 2013, Microsoft Publisher 2013, Microsoft Visio Professional 2013, Microsoft Word 2013, Publisher 2013, and Smart Draw.
  • Helping and troubleshooting user software questions and issues, at times reformatting and redoing items. The candidate will assist users having difficulty with MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, MS Project, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint. The candidate will provide/create templates for reports, schedules, process maps and excel spreadsheets. The candidate will also create interactive Adobe Acrobat forms. The candidate will also be required to take photographs for the OPM-MAS Employee book, Government Passports, ISOPREP and at OPM-MAS events as well as other areas of request.
  • Candidate must exercise time management and be able prioritize workload for the graphics department. The candidate must exercise creative judgment, and originality by translating requirements into graphics including development of specialized graphic materials and/or working with other Government organizations and approved contractors to produce materials that cannot be produced in-house.
  • The candidate will provide graphics support for exhibits by working with the government personnel and/or other approved contractors responsible for the creation and production of exhibit materials. In addition, candidate must operate and maintain all printers and graphics hardware including a host of equipment (large format plotters and printers) along with cutting machines, laser engraver and cutter, and Dremel equipment.
  • Candidate will provide supervision, technical training, guidance, and instructions as needed to the Graphics Artist. Candidate will be required to handle classified and sensitive information necessary for completing work assignments. The candidate will work in conjunction with the OPM-MAS Security Officer when needed for specific briefings, presentations, posters, photos, brochures, ammunition books, documentation, and distribution of materials.
